When will the lottery take place?
The draw will take place on October 9th at 11am BST/6am ET at the Markthalle in Frankfurt, Germany.
The technical portion of the draw is expected to take 40 minutes to complete.
How is the drawpot determined?
Teams will be divided into seven pots based on their final standings in the 2022-23 UEFA Nations League (UNL) Group Stage.
The top 4 nations are in the UNL Pot and the next 6 are in Pot 1. The UNL pot exists because these countries are drawn into his five-nation group and the UEFA Nations League final will require him to have an international date available in June. Pulled into group AD.
The other pots all have 10 teams, with pot 6 containing the 3 lower ranked nations.

Where are Germany and Russia?
As Germany is the host country, there is no need to qualify.
Russia remains banned from international competition by UEFA due to Ukraine’s aggression.
How will the lottery be held?
One country is chosen from each pot (but consider the UNL pot and pot 1 as one of the 10 teams).
So you can create a group containing Spain, England, Republic of Ireland, Azerbaijan and Malta.
– The draw will start with the UNL pot, which will draw the 4 nations of Group AD. Pot 1 teams will be assigned to Groups E through J.
– The draw continues from pot 2 to pot 6. Each pot is completely emptied before proceeding to the next pot.
– Drawn teams will be assigned in alphabetical order from Group A to Group J, unless the draw is limited.
– The 3 teams in Pot 6 will be assigned to Groups H, I and J, creating groups of 6 players.
What are the raffle restrictions?
Besides the UEFA Nations League finalists who need to be in Groups A-D, we have the following players:
– Winter venue restrictions: Only two countries can belong to the same group: Belarus, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway.
– Banned team clashes: Armenia / Azerbaijan – Belarus / Ukraine – Gibraltar / Spain – Kosovo / Bosnia and Herzegovina – Kosovo / Serbia
– Excessive travel restrictions: Kazakhstan, Iceland and Azerbaijan have a set of specific draw conditions to prevent more than two teams from being in one group.
How many countries will qualify for Euro 2024?
There will be 24 teams participating in Euro 2024.
Host country Germany will have winners and runners-up from each of the 10 groups.
The final three places are determined by playoffs.
How will the Euro 2024 playoffs play out?
Playoffs will be created using the final standings of the UEFA Nations League Group Stage.
There are 3 playoff passes for UEFA Nations League A, B and C.
Group winners are guaranteed playoffs if they do not automatically qualify. they are:
League A
Netherlands
Croatia
Spain
Italy
League B
Israel
Bosnia-Herzegovina
Serbia
Scotland
League C
Georgia
Greece
turkey
Kazakhstan
If one of the group winners automatically qualifies, the place will be the highest-ranked team requiring a playoff in that League Pass.
If a League Pass cannot be filled (for example, 13 countries automatically qualified from League A), Estonia (the highest ranked in League D) will slot into that pass. After Estonia, they will return to the overall standings in the next league, if more than one place needs to be filled.
When will the game be played?
The Group Stage will be held at five international windows in March, June, September, October and November 2023. The play-offs will take place in March 2024, from Friday 14 June 2024 to Sunday 14 July he will be ahead of the finals.
Are there still international friendly matches?
The 31 nations in five Groups A-G who have not qualified for the UEFA Nations League final will have two friendly dates in 2023.
