
Texas A&M University has been named a 2022 Higher Education Diversity Excellence Award (HEED) winner. Insight into Diversity magazine. The university has earned this honor for the past four years.
The HEED Awards are the only national awards honoring US and Canadian universities that demonstrate outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. In 2022, 103 institutions will receive his HEED Award. Texas A&M will appear in the November 2022 issue. Insight into Diversity magazine.
“The HEED Awards process consists of a comprehensive and rigorous application form that includes questions about student and employee recruitment and retention. “To apply for the HEED Awards, Texas A&M critically evaluates our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, recognizes promising and impactful strategies, and identifies areas for improvement. We need to,” McGowan said. “This prestigious award is a testament to the commitment and contribution of our diversity partners throughout the Texas A&M campus community to achieve the goals of our diversity plan. Groups and initiatives recognized by the HEED Awards include the Diversity Operations Committee (DOC), Accountability, Equity and Scholarships (ACES) Faculty Fellow Program. Annual diversity accountability reports from university colleges, units, sustainability offices and more.
